twitter-logogifThe usual way to find a job is you go to our site nuclearcareersonline.com and enter search terms, or you receive an RSS or email of latest jobs that match your needs. Today I want to tell you about the smart way to stay in touch. You can do this using Twitter, a clever way of reading about new jobs in your area of interest.  This is the way online recruitment is moving and we are building our capability to tell you about jobs in this new, innovative and smart development.

Twitter is building fast as a micro blogging environment, and is being used by large companies including Ernst & Young, Sun Microsystems and the BBC to tell customers about news, products and services. On Twitter, with your own free account, you can choose to follow friends, colleagues, gurus, companies and all manner of contacts. You will be able to find out each time they have posted something new in what is called a tweet. Because each tweet is only a maximum of 140 characters it does not take long to read and says things very much to the point.

If this all sounds like double-dutch to you there is an excellent document The Big Juicy Twitter Guide, written by a Brit Caroline Middlebrook, that takes you through all the highways and byways that make Twitter a bit special and different.

To set up your Twitter account go to twitter.com and start finding out the power of this new way of keeping in touch.
