Spanish energy firm Iberdrola are back in the bid for purchasing land from the NDA it was disclosed to us yesterday. The NDA land is earmarked for a new nuclear reactor to be built near Sellafield. The opportunity for businesses to express interest closed on Monday 3^rd August but not before Iberdrola made their last minute wish to be included. They are now joining others in the race which includes Sweden’s Vattenfall and Germany’s RWE.
