Spanish energy firm Iberdrola are back in the bid for purchasing land from the NDA it was disclosed to us yesterday. The NDA land is earmarked for a new nuclear reactor to be built near Sellafield. The opportunity for businesses to express interest closed on Monday 3rd August but not before Iberdrola made their last minute wish to be included. They are now joining others in the race which includes Sweden’s Vattenfall and Germany’s RWE.
