RWE npower and E.ON UK have announced the appointment of Alan Raymant as the new Chief Operating Officer for the companies’ nuclear joint venture.Alan is currently Director of Operations and Asset Management for E.ON’s distribution business in the UK and has extensive experience within the company’s generation business, including heading up its renewables portfolio.
He is also a Fellow of the Institute of Chemical Engineers and the Institute of Engineering and Technology. Alan is due to join the E.ON/RWE joint venture team in his new role next month.
The joint venture aims to deliver at least 6GW of new nuclear capacity in the UK and has secured land at Wylfa on Anglesey and Oldbury in South Gloucestershire, where it has started preliminary ground investigation works.
Between them, E.ON and RWE have stakes in 20 nuclear power stations around the world and already jointly own three nuclear reactors in Germany.
