GEN II is a joint venture training company established in 2000 between five international businesses, with major operations in West Cumbria; BNFL, Amec, Innovia Films, Corus and Iggesund Paperboard, UKAEA also joined in partnership in 2005. As the largest contributor to training on the Sellafield site and drawing on more than 50 years in the nuclear industry, GEN II work closely with their partner organisations to develop the new skills and qualifications for those joining the nuclear industry, as well as re-skilling of the present workforce.
With a wide range of engineering and technical programmes GEN II deliver a plethora of courses from basic NVQs to NEBOSH safety training and Nuclear Related Foundation Degrees. The company deliver training from 6 locations, including 3 engineering workshops offering some of the best facilities and educational programmes in the UK.
