Magnox North Shortlisted For Constructing Excellence Client of the year for 2^nd year running

Magnox North and South (companies owned by EnergySolutions) have been shortlisted in the ‘Constructing Excellence South West Built Environment Awards 2010’.

Magnox lines up as finalists alongside high profile organisations including Gloucestershire County Council and Clive Johnston Asda Stores.

Client of the year is an award for the client that has shown the greatest drive to ensure that best practice principles are adopted on its projects and throughout its supply chain.

Our application was based on the organisations’ commercial strategy (the drivers for change) and the initiatives set out within our supply chain improvement plan. Our aim is to ensure that we remain focused on collaborative working, promoting sustainable procurement and develop a culture of continuous improvement.

Sion Edwards, Head of Commercial, said “Being shortlisted for client of the year is a great honour. Over the year we have built on the foundations that led us to being recognised in the Wales region for Constructing Excellence as client of the year in 2009, and have forged stronger links with Magnox South driving best practices across the two companies embracing the Change agenda and improving our relationship with the supply chain.”

If successful on June 11th we will go forward to the national awards to be held later in the year.
