Cogent offers a £650 per person grant towards training women in your industry

There’s a time and place limit so please don’t delay

The Cogent SSC Women and Work Programme is a new initiative for the science-using industries to support the skills development of women, particularly into non-traditional technical roles.

Employers are encouraged to review the skills development needs of their business and where there is a skills gap or a career progression opportunity identified among female staff, individuals may be eligible for a £650 grant for their development.

This grant is not targeted at a particular qualification, but supports any skills intervention that will add value to the company bottom line and promote the development of women in the workforce.

The only stipulation is that a company must contribute 50% or more to the total costs of the project (both to the provision and via learner or mentor time) of which 15% must be in cash to a provider of the course.

Cogent has a total of 100 grants to award and they will only be available to December 2010 – so please contact us as soon as possible for individual help and advice.
