Platts 2011 European Nuclear Power conference will once again assemble the organizations that are leading and those that are supporting nuclear renaissance in Europe. The ‘growth areas’ of Italy, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Poland and the UK will be explored in depth whilst the regions’ leading utilities EDF, E.ON, GDF Suez and RWE share their nuclear plans and the challenges they face. This conference will continue to provide attendees with a comprehensive overview of European nuclear power and its development market; highlighting new opportunities and providing practical solutions to the challenges of deployment from infrastructure to finance.

The Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA) has announced that it intends to nominate land near the existing nuclear power station at Oldbury in Gloucestershire as potentially suitable for a new nuclear power station. E.ON supports this nomination. Read it all..
