Industry poll shows continuing support for nuclear

Sellafield – £160m contracts for new waste retrieval facility

sellafield-logo[1]Decommissioning progress on one of Sellafield’s oldest nuclear plants has taken a giant step forward with three significant new contracts, totaling over £160m, put in place to enable radioactive waste retrievals.

The Pile Fuel Cladding Silo (PFCS) is almost 60 years old and contains over 4000m3 of historic radioactive waste which has to be retrieved from the facility as part of the decommissioning work. Read it all..

Magnox Ltd awards SAP contract to Unit 4

UNIT4, the world’s leading provider of business software for Businesses Living IN Change (BLINC™), yesterday announced that it has secured a new contract with nuclear power specialist Magnox Ltd. The contract is worth approximately £2.5million in software and services to UNIT4 and will see Magnox replace its SAP system and implement Route 66, the latest version of UNIT4’s Agresso Business World ERP suite .
